The first day of sailing yesterday was perfect with glorious sunshine and winds all over the place, but nothing new there. A full complement of OOD turned up headed by Peter Mackin, who gave us a long beat to farm from a committee boat start. It was also great to see a few of last season’s new members also take to the water. Remember the first race each Sunday is the coaching race, so those of you who own double-handers get them up to the club and we will swap helms and crews with the more experienced sailors.

Finally I’m delighted to be handing over the editorial reigns of the monthly E-Newsletter to our new Publicity Officer, Leanne Pilkington, so any articles, events, sailing tips etc. please email them to:

Just a reminder that your membership is due for renewal. By now you should all have received your renewal form in the post and this year you have various options on how to pay. The cheapest method for the Club is to pay by BACS online or by cheque. You can also pay by card or in regular instalments online although these options do have a cost implication for the Club. If you haven’t received your renewal form, please contact me as soon as possible. Alternatively you can just follow this link to renew your membership:

Thank you to all those that have already paid.
