Saturdays – 31st May, 14th June, 28th June and 5th July

What’s the RYA?
The Royal Yachting Association (RYA), is the national body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, powerboat racing, windsurfing, inland cruising and narrowboats, and personal watercraft.

All sailing courses that we run follow the RYA syllabus and their qualifications are valid all over the world.

What’s the course?
The four day course we are running is an adult beginners course which covers both the RYA Level 1 and 2 syllabuses. At the end of the course, if you pass, you’ll be awarded certificates for both level 1 and level 2. There’s a really good PDF leaflet explaining this, and other courses on the RYA website.

Course info
Our course is being run over four Saturdays – 31st May, 14th June, 28th June and 5th July. It’s a 9.30am start each day and usually finish around 4pm.

The cost of the course is £120 for members (non-members £240). As well as practical training, you’ll also get a couple of books and certificates with that.

What you’ll need
A change of clothes – you will get wet! And some lunch each day – we’ll provide the brews and biscuits. We’ve also got buoyancy aids you can borrow during the course. Oh, and your cheque book on the first week!
