Despite gale force winds and horizontal rain, a troop of hardy and dedicated BSC members set forth last Saturday to persuade the good people of Belmont and district to come and look at our wonderful facility and try their hand at sailing. By lunchtime, the weather had beaten and bashed our gazebos, our display boards and our morale. By 2:30pm, we had moved our stall to Zena’s front garden, put the kettle on and sold a massive 17 Taster Session tickets to passers-by.

Taster sessions are now to be provided to these people this Thursday evening from 7pm, and next Saturday from 12 noon. The bar will be open on both days, and the House Committee will be selling bacon/ sausage butties from 12 noon on the Saturday.

We are still in need of help on Saturday 18th May. Please contact Zena asap if you are able to help in any way – jetty, shore, galley, helming etc. There is a job for everyone!

And please offer your thanks to these club members, who persevered through the worst conditions to secure such a good response for the Club!

Also thanks to Andrew Craig and Annie Ditchfield for all their preparatory work before the event, and all those members who submitted testimonials and photos.
