The RYA is national authority for sailing and other watersports in the United Kingdom.

OnBoard is an RYA programme designed to introduce young people to sailing.

The aim is for half a million young people to be introduced to sailing over the next ten years.

Bolton Sailing Club was one of the first OnBoard clubs in the North-West and won RYA NW OnBoard Club of the Year in 2008.

RYA Training Centre

Bolton Sailing Club is a RYA Training Centre which means we are able to run RYA Dinghy Sailing and Powerboating Courses.

RYA Sailability is a charity that offers people who think they can’t even get in a boat ““ let alone sail one, the chance to achieve the self reliance that sailing can bring.

Sailing is one of the very few sports in which able-bodied sailors and disabled sailors can participate on equal terms.
